Zahit Aluminum participated in Career and Vocational Training Days

Zahit Aluminum, one of the leading companies in the aluminum sector with its investment, production, export, and employment capacity, participated in the Career and Vocational Training Days held at TÜYAP Adana International Fair and Congress Center. The company's activities as Turkey's producer of aluminum profiles and composite panels were explained to participants at the highly attended event.

Afterwards, the guests who visited the facility were informed about the production process and the technologies used in the factory.  "Certificate of Participation" was presented to the students who participated in the technical trip, which attracted great interest.

Furthermore, a presentation was made on an electric vehicle developed by students of Çukurova Elektrik Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School, with Zahit Aluminum as the main sponsor. Hasan Tevke, the Provincial Director of National Education, presented "Participation Certificates" to institutions and organizations supporting the event, including Zahit Aluminum.

All Sectors Are Having Difficulties Finding Intermediate Staff

The Career and Vocational Education Days, which took place on 21-23 May, were coordinated by the Ministry of National Education, General Directorate of Vocational and Technical Education. Speaking at the opening ceremony of the Career and Vocational Training Days organised within the scope of the "Social and Economic Cohesion through Vocational and Technical Education Project (SEUP)" implemented in cooperation with KfW, Adana Governor Yavuz Selim Köşger pointed out that one of the most important problems of the country in recent times is the shortage of intermediate staff. Governor Köşger said that all sectors have difficulty in finding intermediate staff.

Vocational Education and Career Days are Very Important

Emphasizing that Turkey has not yet reached the desired point in terms of vocational education, Governor Yavuz Selim Köşger noted that it is not possible for everyone in a country to be a doctor, engineer or university graduate. Pointing out that this needs to be planned very well, Köşger emphasized the importance of identifying young people according to their abilities in the early stages of education and directing them to the most suitable areas.

Governor Köşger stated that Vocational Education and Career Days are important in terms of being held for this purpose, and added that if the guidance work is not done correctly, the country's need for personnel, which has reached the highest level, will become increasingly inextricable.

We Will Direct Students to Vocational Education

Mustafa Günay, the Director General of Vocational and Technical Education at the Ministry of National Education, reminded that vocational education holds great value for societies. He noted that through events like these, they facilitate interaction between students and the business world. Günay mentioned their goal of directing more students towards vocational education.

In his speech, Hasan Tevke, the Provincial Director of National Education in Adana, emphasized that vocational education is an educational model that enables individuals to gain experience in a specific occupational field and prepares them for the workforce.

Highlighting the increasing prevalence of this educational model, Tevke pointed out that employers today prefer employees with specific skills and abilities. He underscored that vocational education is also critical for economic growth, emphasizing that this approach enhances productivity by producing qualified and educated workforce, contributing to the development of innovative solutions.
